Inspired by the dystopian sci-fi of JG Ballard’s novels The Drowned World and The Crystal World, the new album by Greek producer & film director Yannis Veslemes is as adventurous musically as it is conceptually.

At times dark, at times playful, unreservedly psychedelic, its wildly different musical styles all manage to capture an atmosphere that is profound and mystical in equal measure.

Veslemes’ background in film and soundtrack production has had a strong influence on making Apolithoma seem like an imaginary and cohesive soundtrack to a film that never was.
